Sarah Reel Pearson, age 90 , passed away on September 2, 2021. She was born in South Norfolk on November 25, 1930 to the late Jesse L and Mary Blanche Reel. Sarah was predeceased by her husband, B.F. Pearson, Jr (Frank) and her son, B.F. Pearson, III (Biff), as well as brothers Jesse Reel, Luther Reel, James Reel, Gene Reel and her sister Reba Johnson.

She is survived by her daughter Karen Pearson (Ed George) , grandchildren B.F. Pearson Iv (Ben) and Alexandra Pearson (Alex); sister, Elizabeth Reel (Libby) of South Carolina; 2 brothers, Terry Reel of Chesapeake and Harold Reel of Florida. She also leaves behind extended family who cherish the memory of their “Granny”- Rhonda George; Jennifer, Travis, Jack, Charley and Avery Ward; Allison, Bill, Charlotte and Will Bahen.

Sarah graduated from Deep Creek High School in 1948 and has remained close to many of her classmates. She was a secretary for Navy housing for many years, but retired in 1965 to be a very active homemaker. She was also a very active member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for most of her adult years.

She was admired her whole life for her beauty and poise, and she was a wonderful mother and a wonderful friend whose presence will be greatly missed.
