Virginia Beach ~ Shirley Parrish of Virginia Beach entered into eternal rest on Friday, November 6 2020 . She was born November 24, 1935 in Georgia.

She is the daughter of Lyle and Jessie Rucker. Shirley was a loving mother and truly cherished the time spent with family and friends. She instilled many family traditions in her children and grandchildren.

Shirley was avid sports fan, following football, racing, and golf. She loved gardening and bird watching. She very much enjoyed socializing with her many friends. Shirley is survived by three daughters Charlotte, Samantha and Marie, one granddaughter Ryane, and two great grandchildren, Logan and Merick. She is survived also by her beloved extended family, daughter Becky, son Azelarab, son Kyle, granddaughter Dixie, and many friends, as well as several nieces and nephews

A private celebration of life and memorial service will be held to honor Shirley.

I miss you, mom. You were a pillar of strength and unconditional love.

Much love to the family. Shirley was one of my son's first babysitters. She was always sweet to me. I will miss her.

Sam and family, sooo sorry for your loss. Shirley was always smiling and a very bright spot in my life, always loved and looked forward to her words of wisdom. God bless you all.

Mom I can't even begin to express how much I loved and admired you. You were and are a mentor to many without even knowing you were. My selfishness never wanted you to go but I know that you are in peace now and no longer suffering. I will treasure every memory of you and love you always. ❤️

Shirley was a bright and vibrant spirit. She was warm and loving towards me whenever I shared time with her. I miss her witty retorts and sarcasm...always in good fun. Shirley, I know you are in pure ecstasy with your beloved family and friends...even our canine loves, Hank and Mickeydog! Love you always!
