

Thomas Marshall Huff, 65, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2023. He was born on October 26, 1957, in Washington, DC to John Everette Huff and Diane Lee Huff née Hartman.
Tom graduated from Wheaton High School in Silver Spring, Maryland and went on to enlist in the US Navy. He proudly served as a Nuclear Machinist Mate Second Class on the USS Barney and USS Independence. After leaving the Navy, he carried his mechanical and engineering skills into other roles. Additionally, he ran his own carpentry businesses borrowing the woodworking skills he learned from his father. Tom was most proud of his role as a father and he especially loved being a PopPop.
Tom enjoyed volunteering at the Virginia Beach Aviation Museum, sharing his love of history with visitors. He was an avid train hobbyist and amateur photographer. He was fortunate to spend his final years living on the Big Island of Hawai’i before returning to Southeastern Virginia, a place he called home for more than forty years.
Tom is survived by his three daughters Rachel Huff-Wagenborg (David) and grandson Holden, Sarah Rice (Kipp) and grandson Ryan and granddaughter Hailey, Hannah Clough Burkett (Brad) and granddaughter Nora and grandson Garrett. He is also survived by his mother Diane; brothers, Robert and William, and sister, Carol as well as a number of loving relatives and close friends.
