She was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick T. (Pete) and Elsie M. Crump.
Left to cherish her memories are her two daughters, Anita Rochelle Jones and Ashley Mason Cunningham; four grandchildren, Travoz, Tyvez and Trazhan Jones and Ava Cunningham and one great-grandchild, Talaya Briggs.
Valarie will be missed by all that knew her.
Cremation Society of Virginia-Newport News assisted the family with arrangements.
