Vincent Robert Mascitti, 82, passed April 14, 2024. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on November 10, 1941. He went to Central High School and spent his summers at the shore in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
He was a “Chelsea Boy”, which was the name he later used for the beach cottage he designed and built in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. He went on to graduate from Drexel University and then received his Masters at the University of Virginia.
He was employed by NASA as an Aeronautical Engineer for 15 years while also teaching at Thomas Nelson Community College. He then went on to pursue his dreams as a golf professional and fisherman, working at Brigantine Golf Links in Brigantine, NJ, Duck Woods Country Club in Southern Shores, NC and then opening up his own bait and tackle shop, Kitty Hawk Bait & Tackle, in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina.
Vincent had endless energy and creativity making his own brand of custom fishing rods, building his own boat, creating detailed wood carvings, painted murals and intricate drawings.
A beloved father and grandfather, Vincent is survived by two children, David Mascitti (wife Kristin) and Debbie Brandewiede (husband Scott), and three grandchildren: Elle, Madeline and Eva.
