My deepest condolences go out to Chelsea and family during this difficult time. Though I never had the privilege of knowing Virginia, I feel like I did now, having read this most beautiful tribute to this most remarkable woman. Many prayers and much love from a large community of friends in Albuquerque are with you all.

I was lucky enough to marry into her family. I had no idea that a grandmother could be this awesome until I met her. From late night karaoke at my wedding when she was 83, to expertly showing us how to cool my house down when our AC broke during a heat wave when I was 9 months pregnant. She was always the life of the party and revered by everyone in her family. She may be gone... but I can’t imagine anyone leaving a better legacy.

I was fortunate to know this lovely lady because she was a valued member of the Riverbend Book Club. Conversations with Virginia were always interesting. I told her more than once that I wanted to be like her when I grew up--an independent (Very) Senior Citizen! I thought so much of her and am saddened knowing I will not see her smiling face at our Book Club meetings anymore. Virginia, dance with the angels, and get a book club going up there.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

I only got to meet the lady one time, but she struck me as a very sweet lady and was very friendly to me and acted like she'd known me all her life. I'm sure the family will miss her. I'm sorry I only got to be with her that one time.

Virginia has been an inspiration to us all at Bayside Presbyterian. She was a lovely lady who approached life and people in a caring and compasionate way. I have had the honor of serving on session with her and of calling her friend. My deepest condolences to all of the family. I am sorry that I will be out of town and unable to attend the service Friday. Please know that I am there in spirit.
