I first met Buddy in 2009 when I had vacationed with his wife Merle and 2 other college friends. After that my husband and I traveled frequently with Merle and Buddy. We met them every year at their Marriott time share and Phoenix as well as traveling with them to Italy, South Africa, the Netherlands, England, and Sedona, AZ. We always had such fun! I always considered Buddy the epitome of a southern gentleman - so considerate. He truly loved Merle and loved shopping for her! I miss those times. He lived a good life. May he rest in peace with the Lord.

Buddy and I were good friends from high school through our lives. We hunted, double dated and maintained friendship through life. A great, mild mannered person. May he rest in peace. My thoughts and prayers are with his family

Our Deepest Condolences to Merle and family. Buddy was not only our neighbor, but a dear friend. He was the friendliest neighbor always taking time to speak to us. He was a real salt of the earth type of man. A very good man. We loved him so much and will miss him. Memory Eternal

IT is with the deepest sorrow that I learn of BUDDYs passing. My history with Buddy Goes way back to the mid 70s when my then fiance was a teller at Central Fidelity And Buddy was the branch manager. I was a graduating engineer with a new job . I recall I wanted to borrow $500. From the bank to establish credit as I was ready to buy a house. Well you can imagine how that went ,but ultimately he did lend me the $500. Which was quickly paid back. We later would joke about this loan.. I reconnected with Buddy at Commerce Bank around 1990 where he happily lent out many times that amount to my business for years. Then in 1997 I was asked by Buddy and BOB to join them at Soon to be Towne bank on the Chesapeake board as a founding member which i gladly accepted and remain. I enjoyed many years working with Buddy on a weekly basis .. Buddy you will be missed by all that knew you.
