William “Bill” Raymond Hewitt, 89, passed away Monday morning, February 24^th, 2025 in Chesapeake, Virginia. He was surrounded by all of his loving family. Bill was born July 12^th, 1935 in Virginia Beach (Princess Anne County) to the late Effie and Caleb Hewitt.

Bill is survived by his wife, Linda Hewitt; daughters, Lisa Deel and Pam Stoll; and step-daughters: Pam Stout, Debra Stout, and Missy Stout whom he raised along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who filled his days with joy. He was a stand-up, hardworking person and you could often find him in his shed tinkering with something, which earned him his nickname, “Tinky”. He served his country for a few years in the Marines, was a former member of the Fraternal Order of Police, and worked as a pipe foreman for many years.

Bill joins in Heaven his parents; his late daughter, Tina Smith; five brothers; four sisters; and many friends with whom he had formed familial bonds.
