William Craig Dorsey, 60, passed into the arms of Jesus on November 24, 2020 unexpectedly. Craig was the son of Tommy (Snooze) and Louise Hopkins Dorsey. Craig was widowed by his wife, Deborah Dorsey who passed in 2019. He was employed at Marva Maid Dairy for 30 years as a head mechanic. Craig is survived by his sisters, Joyce Harrell of Newport news, Cindi Shaddock and husband, David of Hampton; brother, Archie Dorsey and wife, Mary of Surry; nieces, Tami Langford and husband, Mike, Kerri Murphy and husband, Ray of Hampton; nephews, Cory Shaddock of Portsmouth, Bobby Harrell and wife, Natasha of Texas; and many other nieces, nephews, friends and family who loved and will dearly miss him.

Craig’s favorite pastime was watching the Green Bay Packers and was a big fan of Dale Earnheart, Sr. Craig was a member of the Braxton-Perkins American Legion Post 25, the Moose Lodge of Newport News, and Parkview Church of God. There will be a memorial service at the American Legion 7609 Marshall Avenue, Newport News on December 12, 2020 at 2:00 pm. Face masks will be required and social distancing will be in effect. Memorial donations can be made to the Newport News SPCA located on J. Clyde Morris Boulevard.
