Bill was born into a large family and grew up in the small town of Delaware, Ontario. He originally apprenticed as a motorcycle mechanic and later became a machinist and CNC programmer after relocating to Hampton Roads in 1997; settling down in Newport News, he later adopted and raised his granddaughter, Kaili. He was a Programmer Lead and CNC Machinist at the Science and Technology Corporation receiving many awards and recognition in support of NASA’s operations. He was hardworking, patient, and led by example.
Bill is survived by his love, Sandy, sons Eric and Jacob, grandchildren, Kaili, Hazel, Greta, Curtis, Dylan, and Daphne, brothers James, Bernard, Patrick, John, Robert, and Paul, and sister Marianne. He is predeceased by his son, Francis, brothers, Danny and Mike, mother, Dorothy (Keenan), and father, Francis.
The family will hold a memorial service in the new year.

I knew Bill as an exceptionally talented machinist, one who could be counted on to take on some of the difficult and complex assignment, rise to the occasion, and often exceed expectations. Bill’s contributions to NASA projects were extraordinary, including his patent for design and machining contributions on the SHIElDS small satellite. In short, he moved the dial advancing significant goals for the Agency.
We all admired Bill and how he was raising his granddaughter, Kaili. It was evident that he loved her very much and wanted the best for her. Bill will be missed by friends and colleagues at STC and NASA. Prayers are with the family at this time.
