Sharon Yvette Braden-Francois, born on September 23, 1965, in Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2026, in Norfolk, Virginia, at the age of 60. Sharon lived a life full of faith, vitality, and dedication to her family and career, leaving an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
A proud veteran, Sharon served as a Hospital Corpsman with the United States Navy, embodying the core values of honor, courage, and commitment. Following her military service, she dedicated herself to healthcare administration, contributing her expertise and compassion to improve the quality of care for countless individuals.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Sharon was an artist at heart. She found joy and tranquility in painting, expressing her vibrant spirit on canvas. Her melodious voice brought happiness to those around her as she passionately sang her favorite songs. In her garden, Sharon cultivated beauty and peace, nurturing not just plants, but a love for nature that she shared with her family and friends.
Sharon’s unwavering devotion to her family was evident in every aspect of her life. A loving and awesome mother, she is remembered for her boundless support and encouragement. Her steadfast faith was a beacon of strength and hope for her loved ones, inspiring them to live with purpose and grace.
She is preceded in death by her father, Raymond and her beloved son, Theodore Gully. Sharon’s legacy of love continues through her surviving family: her mother, Alice Braden; her son Manuel Sutherland; her daughter Sydney Stallworth and her husband, Javan; her son Joshua Gully and his wife, Amanda; brother, Don Braden and his wife, Liz; and her cherished grandchildren, Peyton, Jayden, and Ava Gully; and a niece, Nicole Braden.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 16th, at 12 p.m. at the Evangel World Prayer Center Church in Louisville, Kentucky. Sharon will be laid to rest immediately following the service.
