November 7, 1966 - October 22, 2018

Virginia Beach- Sandra “Sandi” M. Burns, 51, went home to be with her Lord on October 22, 2018. Sandi was the daughter of William O. Burns, Jr. and Lynda Scott Burns. Sandi graduated from Kempsville High School in 1985 and was a member of Carrow Baptist Church. Her passion for life was found in her green thumb for reviving plants and fostering animals. She also enjoyed fishing. Left to cherish her memory is her son, William “Logan” Weeks; her parents; her sister, Bonnie and husband, Bruce W. Jackson; her niece, Tiffani and husband, Jarrett Phillips; and her nephew, Travis W. Jackson. She also leaves behind her beloved pets, Luna and Salem. A memorial service will be held 10-27-18 at 12:00 pm at Carrow Baptist Church.

It's almost 5 years since you had to go; Soul Sisters should not be separated this early in life. I know you are flying free Butterfly, but I wish you were here. I miss you so much, I keep my reminders of our great friendship close and think of you often, wanting to call or come over and share. I read our texts today; there weren't a lot as we usually had a lot to say, too much to type 😉, but there were reminders of your last days and what we were doing and sharing. I went on FB, scrolled back years just for the memories; of course the funny thing is that because you loved that photo of us, it will be forever 😋, but I am so grateful we had that moment in time, we never know what is to come 😔. You were way too young Sandi...I have fond memories of our childhood and will remember you from then. My deepest sympathies to your family.

Billy, you and I were classmates, class of ‘59 PAHS. Even though I rarely have contact with members of our class, it always saddens me with the passing of one of us, a spouse, or child. My deepest sympathies to you and Linda with the passing of your daughter Sandy.

When I think of Sandi, the picture of that sweet round cheeked baby that was my wedding! Will always remember her that way! So sorry for the loss.
