Carol Howard left a message on July 29, 2009:
To the Engle family: Bill and I are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers during this time of grief. We were so saddened to hear that Agnes had passed on, but having been nearby neighbors who shared many "over the fence" conversations with her through the years, we are uplifted through our tears to know that she was a believer in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She spoke many times of the strength that her faith in Him brought to her througout her life. We were priviledged to have known her, and she will be greatly missed by all who encountered her at her front door and her back gate on the lake. She was a great encourager to those in her neighborhood, and she was always willing to share a container of her homemade soup, her gardenias and roses, a good story, a listening ear, a bit of advice, and her robust laughter. May you all find peace and joy in your memories of her and as a family. May the good Lord sustain you all in the days to come as you come together to memorialize her life and to share in the disbrusement of her earthly possessions. May His Spirit of generosity and love prevail among you. May He heal your wounds and strengthen your family ties as you honor your mom's spirit of giving. Agnes spoke many times to me Carol about how her family was the most precious thing in her life, and how she loved each one of you so deeply. You were fortunate to have her as a mom and she you as her own. God bless you all as only He can do, Carol and Bill Howard
