Virginia Beach —Albert Henry Munroe, 69, departed this life on February 6, 2011 surrounded by his family and held in the arms of his Savior.
Albert was born in Lowell, Massachusetts. He was a devoted husband and a loving father. Al served 24 years in the Navy. He was a current member of Saint Michael Lutheran Church and attended Grace Lutheran Church for many years. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association Branch 99 and the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 20.
Al will always be remembered for his love of life, family, and animals; his strong perseverance, sense of humor, and his great faith. Al was never afraid to say “I love you.”
Albert is survived by his wife of 38 years Jodi; sons Micah and Mason; his sister Carol Lang and her husband Roland of Durham, Connecticut; his brother Howard Munroe of Worcester, Massachusetts, his brother Bob Munroe and his wife Nancy of Haverhill, Massachusetts, his brother Paul Munroe of Gilford, New Hampshire; sister-in-law Jeni Nance and her husband John of Estero, Florida; brother-in-law Jeff McDaniel and his wife Anne of Williamsburg. Al was an uncle to many nieces and nephews and supporting friends.
We will gather to honor and celebrate Al’s life at Saint Michael Lutheran Church, 2208 Princess Anne Road, Virginia Beach on Saturday February 12th at 2:00 PM.
