Miss Bert was my Sunday School teacher many many years ago at Mathews Baptist. She impacted the lives of so many children at church throughout the years including my own. I always looked forward to my Sunday morning hug as she greeted everyone on their way into the worship service. Miss Bert was truly an unforgettable person and she will always hold a very special place in my heart. I was so saddened to hear of her passing and will miss her and her hugs greatly but I take comfort in knowing she is with the Lord and that we will see her again one day. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
