Alberta Herm Scholl, age 95, passed away in her home on October 19, 2011. She died as she lived with courage, dignity and grace. She was born and lived in Louisville, KY until the age of 84 when she moved to her adopted home in Hampton Roads. She leaves many friends and family to cherish her memory in both places.
Mrs. Scholl was predeceased by her husband of 32 years, Joseph A. Scholl, Sr. She is survived by her daughter, Elaine Scholl-Iglecia, husband, Ray and her son, Joseph A. Scholl, Jr., wife Gayle, and three grandchildren, David, Rebecca and Joseph.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of Bay Lake Retirement and Assisted Living who created a loving home for her these last three years, and her companions, Shalimar, Amber, and Kelly whose faithful care allowed her to remain in her home. We would also like to thank Alessio Salsano, MD, Tom and the staff of Odyssey Hospice for their medical care and support. Each of you contributed your unique gifts to give her the quality of life she enjoyed.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated Friday, October 28, 10:00 a.m. at the Church of the Holy Apostles. 1593 Lynnhaven Pkwy. By Rev. James Parke. Inurnment will follow the Mass at the Columbarium of the Church of the Ascension on Princess Anne Rd. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cremate.org
