Albertina “Tina” Christine Clawson, 93, of Petersburg, Virginia, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2025, at Waverly Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Waverly, Va.

Born in Kankakee, Illinois, and a resident of Petersburg, Va. for the last four decades, Tina lived a life marked by devotion to her family and an unwavering faith in God.

As a dedicated military wife, Tina supported her husband the late Pastor Charles “Chuck” Clawson throughout his career in the Army and Air Force, and later as a pastor and church founder. Together they raised their beloved daughter Vanessa Christine Clawson Justice, and son Frank Harold Clawson, both of whom preceded her in death.

Tina’s life was centered around her deep faith and commitment to serving the Lord. As the first lady of the church Chuck founded, Covenant Bible Fellowship, she tenderly worked to ensure all her accomplishments were reflective of Christ’s love and gave Him glory. In her personal life, she supported many outreach ministries with her donations of time and money.

She is survived by her two grandsons Micah A. Justice of Waverly, VA, and Joshua P. Justice of Tonopah, Nevada, and five great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at J.T. Morris Chapel located at 820 W. Broadway, Hopewell, VA 23860.
