We were neighbors of Mr. Booker and very sorry we didn’t get a chance to say good-bye. We always called him “Mr.” To show our respect. He was a quiet man and a good neighbor. We’d chat and visit when he pushed his trash can out to the street, and he was always pleasant and appreciative for little things we’d do in looking out for him. Bye to our friend, Mr. Booker. We will miss you. Save us a place in that grand mansion in the skies. Al and I send our sincere sympathies to his family as you mourn your loss. Jean and Al at 3306 Settlement.

To my cousin's Alfred Jr., Laura, and Candace and the entire Hooker family, you have my deepest sympathy in the loss of your Father, and Brother and my Uncle "Nookie". I remember him as I was a child, being a good guy and always cool and unselfish. Although it's been a minute since I last saw him, he is already missed. I am praying for you all. Losing my Mom was and is still such a hard loss so I understand your pain. But, it will get better. Don't let anyone tell you how long to grieve. It will take time. Always think about the good time's and how great a Dad he was to you all and a big brother to you Uncle Brad. And Aunt Carolyn, I know you miss him and loved him as well.... this too shall pass. Just know he is no longer in any pain or suffering.I love you all to life. To God be the glory because He never makes any mistakes. Your cousin and niece, Evangelist Crystal Ellis
