Soooo many memories. You were a true friend. This is written on behalf of not just me - but my Tom and Pam who are there with you right now! What a joyous time you must be having. You were amazing in so many ways. Its hard to believe it has been 18 years since I first met you. Time went too quickly. You touched my life in lots of ways. You laughed with me, you cried with me and you gave me strength to carry on. Your love for all of God's creatures is a lesson to all. You are missed.

Alice was one of the first people I met when we moved here 28 yearns ago. She watched our little poodle for us when we visited MD. She was such a sweet, kind person. I know she brought lots of joy to a lot of people and their furry friends.

Alice's contributions to the Heritage Humane Auxiliary are too numerous to list. She had a real love of animals and was a warm, caring smile for everyone. She and I always clowned around. I had the camera and she had every way to make sure I didn't get her picture! A wonderful lady.

I have the fortune of meeting Alice a few months after I moved to Williamsburg five years ago at a Heritage Humane Society Auxiliary meeting. Almost from the beginning she was the big sister we all hope for or are lucky to have.
Alice was so kind, so generous-leaving a little basket of kitty toys and treats for my foster, then adopted babies or suggesting late in life careers. Sharing wonderful family stories, investment advice (I had called her last weekend to tell her that I finally bought a teeny amount of her favorite stock) and keeping our humor during the past four chaotic years.
This past year she lost people very close to her. I hope they greeted her with the open arms and big smiles she gave others.
