Allen Lee Benner, 76, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 21, 2022 at Sentara Princess Anne Hospital. He was the husband of Mary Lavigne Benner.  They shared 50 years of marriage together.

Born in California, he was the son of Frances and Joseph Benner. He graduated from the University of New York.  Allen retired from the United States Navy in 1985 after serving his country for 21 years.  Most recently, he was the owner of Realty Professionals and worked there as principal broker. He was a member of Harvest Assembly of God for over 20 years.  Allen enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports and music. He will be remembered for his love of his country, The United States of America.

He is survived by his loving wife Mary, his daughters, Marlee(Sam) and Brandi (Chris), his grandchildren, Hannah, Jesse, Rachel, Sarah, Coleton, Cason, Hosannah, River, and Caroline, his brother, Jay, his sisters, Trocel, Barbara, Billy and Berta, and step sisters, Eleanor and Edwina Gaudio.

A private memorial service will be held at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery.
