My sister and I started rescuing dogs from kill shelters and off chains a few years ago. We don’t have a facility so the pups we rescued had to have a safe place to land once we got them. Andrea and Joe were the very first foster family when we began this endeavor. They opened their homes and hearts to these neglected souls and made them whole again while we put them up for adoption. Every time we would text Andrea a pic of our newest rescue , she would always text back “bring him/her to mama”. Cam, their current pup was a foster fail and I remember the night I dropped him off with jason and he said “yeah, you’re never coming back here to get that dog”. Andrea had the biggest heart and was one of the most generous people I have ever met. She used her voice for the voiceless and it was always such a pleasure working with her. The world will never be the same without her …I’m honored I had the chance to know her! My deepest condolences to her family and friends. Thinking of you all.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

I didn't know Andrea as well as I know Joe but once I met her I knew that she was the kind of person you never forget meeting. She was a beautiful gentle soul and she truly was Joe's soulmate and they were the perfect couple. She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile and it truly was my honor to have known her. You will be sorely missed and my prayers go out to Joe and the rest of the family.

Dick, Dee, Ryann, Joe and Bailey, My memories of Andrea are of our days growing up in Loda and then later working for Dick at the Country Club and occasionally babysitting for Kacie and Ryann. Andrea and I became friends and her sweet face, contagious laugh and overall joy for life is what I remember most. Luckily, we reconnected via Facebook and this is what I noticed: she was an EXCELLENT mom. You could feel the love she had for her daughter through the pictures she posted. Bailey, we don’t know each other but my heart is shattered for you.., if there’s any comfort, any at all, perhaps it’s knowing that you are and were loved by your incredible mom and she will forever be with you in all you do. From a mother’s perspective, I know complete and unconditional love when I see it and it’s all I see when I saw pictures of the two of you. Joe, again, I don’t know you but I see her smile in all the photos of the two of you and all I see is love. How lucky you two were to have found each other. Im so sorry your love story was interrupted by this tragedy. Dick, Dee and Ryann, I am so sorry for your loss. Sisters are the best and Ryann, I’m so sorry you have to say goodbye to Andrea. Dick and Dee—there are no words. Sending you all prayers for peace I’m the midst of this terrible loss.

Andrea was not just “a cousin”. She was my best friend, like a sister growing up. Andrea added sparkle and positive energy to EVERYTHING!!! We got into some mischief along the way together, lol -but mostly just hilarious, often clutzy times!!! I will miss her spunk, fire, sense of humor, and ability to love beyond all boundaries!!! Fly high Andrea

My sweet niece Andrea was so Beautiful, giving, loving, and genuinely Happy :). No matter the time of day, I could call and chat and we would laugh at the silliest things… she said Aunt Mary, “Do you remember when Ryann had to ride in grandpa Milton Mitchell’s blue paint van? She hated that van it was so dirty and it was so messy and cluttered and she always asked grandpa Milton why he never clean that van out?” Andrea I do remember…. you and I just laughed because Grandpa Milton could not believe Ryann would refuse to ride in it until he cleaned it out…. Only WE GOT STUCK CLEANING IT, while Grandpa Milton and Ryann went in the house and had Lemonade and Watermelon! Hahaha. Oh my GAWD you can’t be far away from us Andy…. You just have to come back in our dreams, I can see you in my thoughts and prayers, this just can’t be real, I don’t know why you had to go so sQQn ?? you will always be in my thoughts and forever in my heart! I love you Sweet Girl! Take care of the Grands til I see you again Tweety!

I grew up with Andrea in Loda. Since hearing of her passing, I have thought of many memories with her. I will always remember her smile. It was perfect and infectious. While we remained friends only through social media, every time I saw a photo of her I smiled because she hadn't changed one bit..still smiling and still cute as can be. My heart goes out to her family and friends, because I know there is sadness and pain with her passing. May your memories of Andrea get you through this difficult time. Michelle

Andrea’s reach was far and wide. I remember spending time with her and Joe when I was a server at Bayside. She was always SO friendly and kind, and she spread endless laughter to everyone around her. People beamed when when they saw her and loved to talk with her and spend time with her. She was always in tune with what was going on and would take the time to inquire about everyone’s life. I remember her celebrating the wins of the people she loved and sharing in their sadness. I was so sorry to hear of her passing. She is beloved by the community and will be missed dearly. ❤️ Sending condolences to everyone affected by this great loss.
