Anita Prentice “Peanut” Robertson, 84, passed away on November 6, 2024. The daughter of William Booth and Leona M. Turley, Peanut was a lifetime native of Newport News, Virginia and her hobbies were gardening, reading, shopping and watching movies.

She was a very loving wife, mother and friend. Everywhere she went, people were drawn to her because of her friendliness and beautiful smile. She was also well thought of in her community due to her wonderful, friendly personality.

Surviving family members are her husband, Carlos Lamarr Robertson; her children, David Smith, Stephen Smith and April Johnson and her grandchildren, Benjamin Smith, Spencer Smith, Hope Johnson, Anthony Johnson, Jr. and Paul Smith.

While in Riverside Regional Medical Center, the doctors, nurses and hospice staff gave her excellent care. She will be truly missed by her husband, family and friends.

A memorial service will be conducted at a later date and time.

Cremation Society of Virginia-Newport News assisted the family with arrangements.
