Ann Bryant passed away on November 26, 2023. She was 77 years old.
Ann was born and grew up in Newport News, VA. She graduated in 1964 from Newport News High School where she played basketball and field hockey. She retired as a Management Analyst from the Department of the Army at Fort Monroe in February, 2007 after forty-two years of service.
Ann was a devoted, loving, daughter, sister, and loyal friend, but most cherished her role as “Aunt Ann.” Family was her life and she enjoyed all their events, activities, and celebrations. At birthdays and holidays she always went the extra mile – spoiling her family and friends with special gifts and lottery tickets. She was always grateful and made everyone she encountered feel special.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frances and Robert Bryant; twin sister, Virginia; brother, Bobby; niece, Kelli Grahill; nephew, Craig Bryant; and special friend, Fred Gebron.
Left to cherish her memory is her brother, Steve (Liz), nephews, Travis (Jenna); Nick (Khaki); and Clift; great nieces and nephews, Robbie Grahill; Sarah Bryant; Johanna Frazier; Elton Bryant; Calvin Bryant; sister-in-law, Diane Bryant; along with many loving friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, April 26th at Parklawn Memorial Park, 2551 N. Armistead Avenue, Hampton. A reception will follow the service at the home of Steve and Liz, 1213 Calthrop Neck Road, Yorktown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the York County Food Closet, 300 Ella Taylor Road, Yorktown, VA 23692.
