Anna Jane Sourbeer, 89, born January 19th, 1928 at Fort Monroe Hospital in Hampton, VA
Peacefully passed in her home surrounded by family on February 19th, 2017. She was a life long resident of Foxhill and retired from the city of Hampton. She was well known in the community for her soda shop, pillow business and being a bus driver.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Julia Sharman; three brothers; one sister and her partner, W. L. Kanupp
Anna was survived by her children, Danny, Julie, Robert, Peter, Margaret, Angela and James; fourteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Sentara hospice and her favorite nurse aide, Dreama.
A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall at 717 E. Little Back River Rd. Hampton, VA 23669 on Saturday February 25 at 1:00pm to honor her beliefs as a Jehovah’s Witness.
Following the service family and friends will gather at her home, 221 Wind Mill Point Rd. Hampton, VA 23664, in celebration of her life.
