Antonia S. Whitehill- Norfolk

Antonia S. Whitehill, 85, Norfolk, formerly Radcliff, KY, died June 5, 2011 at Lake Taylor Convalescent Hospital. Born in St. Michael, Austria, she came to the U. S. in 1954 with her husband, Archie W. Whitehill to whom she was married for 55 years. Her early education and experience included teaching kindergarten in Austria. She always spoke of her friends in Kentucky where she was known for her love of children and her helpfulness. Her interests, in addition to caring for her family, included cooking, baking, and gardening. As a loving wife and mother of two, her family was the focus of her life. She was always happiest in her own home. Antonia is survived by her two sons and their families, Renae W. Whitehill Sheri of Fruitland, FL and Archie R. Whitehill Cleriece of Norfolk, VA; her nephew Hermann Knoll Maria of Frohnleiten, Austria; and her many friends in her much loved and missed Radcliff, KY. She never forgot or lost contact with a friend. Cremation Society of Virginia is assisting Antonia’s family. There will be no services but condolences may be offered at www.cremate.org.
