Arlene Sanford, a devoted homemaker and beloved matriarch, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2025, in Hampton, Virginia, at the age of 67. Born on February 12, 1958, in Queens, New York, Arlene was cherished by all who knew her for her unwavering love and dedication to her family.
A proud graduate of Newfield High School’s Class of 1976, Arlene dedicated her life to creating a warm and nurturing home environment. Her legacy is marked by her deep devotion to her family and her spirited enthusiasm for the New York Yankees and WWE wrestling, passions she enjoyed sharing with those around her.
Arlene’s life was enriched by her role as a doting grandmother to her thirteen grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She leaves behind a loving family, including her oldest daughter, Sandi, and her three children, Cody, Dakota, and Logan; her son, Ray, and his wife, Jovi, along with their four children, Raymond, Isabella, James, and Lucas; her middle daughter, Christina, and her five children, Jazlynn, Arianna, Jamarcus, Kaiden, and Taliyah; and her youngest daughter, Samantha, and her son, Noah.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles A. Scopa and Antoinette Scopa, and her sister, Carol. Arlene’s memory will forever be cherished by her surviving family and friends, who will miss her warmth, humor, and unyielding support.
