Arthur Richard “Richie” Elliott, Jr., 55, passed away on August 22, 2024. He was born on May 21, 1969 in Norfolk, Virginia. Richie was multitalented – a great mechanic and a certified welder. He worked for Salas Auto Services in Portsmouth for 35 years. Working on cars was his passion and he took a lot of pride in his work. Even in his free time he could often be found working on a car.

Richie was predeceased by his mother, Jo Anne Elliott; uncles, William Elliott and Eddie Elliott; and aunt, Linda Payton. Left to cherish his memory are his dad, Arthur Elliott, Sr.; life partner of 34 years, Grace Terry; daughter, Brittany Damasi; grandchildren: Tyler, Dylan, Ava, and Brandon; half-sisters, Dianne and Delores; half-brother, Freddy; aunts, Aunt Mary Cantley and Ruth Lucas; cousins, Cindy Elliott, Tina Cantley, and May Cantley; and many extended relatives.

You will be so missed cuz! We were first cousins and we were always together because our mothers were twins and they could not be apart from each other. I’m so sorry and sad that you’re gone but you are up in Heaven with your mama and my mama, so that is comforting and to know that you’re with our Heavenly Father and singing with the Angels. I love you very much and will truly miss you. Rest easy cousin and fly high ♥️♥️

Richie was one of the hardest working men I knew. He provided for his family. I enjoyed many a conversations with him as well as many laughs. He will be missed and his memories that everyone holds will carry on.
