Ashley loved to paint watercolors and do crafting with beads. She was a vibrant, free spirit who loved colors and life. Ashley loved people and was accepting of all.
Left to cherish her memories are her parents, Edward and Patricia Gradwell; siblings, Deanna and Justin Gradwell and her partner, Joseph Bujak.
The family will receive friends at Altmeyer Funeral Home-Denbigh Chapel, 12893 Jefferson Avenue, Newport News from 5-7 p.m. Monday, March 13, 2017, followed by a funeral service, officiated by Chaplain Melvin H. Underwood.

Ashley was one of my best friends. As we grew older, we had our busy lives & talked every now & then. The last time I spoke with her was on Thanksgiving. Quickly catching up & expressing how grateful we are to have each other in our lives no matter how long we haven't communicated before.
