Barberina Sutton Wilder, 85, passed away September 17, 2024. On January 21, 1939, Ernest and Beulah Sutton welcomed their fourth child Barbie (siblings Pearl (deceased), Ernest and James). Her fun spirit was a gift to all. Many relied on her keen intuition and acute listening skills. Without judgement, she would give you encouragement. As a teacher she influenced many young lives. Her creative expression flowed into her unique artwork, home-decor and sense of fashion . She was tough, full of moxie and would give you “the what for” if you needed it. Whether it was a day at the horse races, or an afternoon at the beach, you could count on Barbie for a spectacular time. And she’d be looking good!

In 1960 Barbie married Robert E. Wilder (deceased). She is survived by her children Robyn Holt (James), Kelle Schuh (Jeff) and Brandon Wilder (Nicole, SO); grandsons Mason and Jordan (Kenedi); step-granddaughters Olivia, Isabela and Georgia; two great-grandchildren, Rowan and Levi and a step-great-grandson, Hugo; Godchild/niece Ellen Bunton and Godchild Gay Thompson; as well as a host of extended family and friends. If you had the opportunity to be loved by Barbie, you are one of the lucky ones.
