Barry Leonard Eanes, 64, of Williamsburg passed away on Monday, May 31, 2021. He was born on August 29, 1956, in Lynchburg, Virginia, to Leonard and Shelby.

Barry proudly served in the United States Army, during which time he met Rhonda and the two were married in 1985.

Throughout his life it was often said that Barry never met a stranger and was always available to help someone in need. He was passionate about helping and serving others and this was reflected through the organizations that he was part of. He cofounded the Williamsburg Chapter of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles 4548 and was currently serving as President. He was also an active member of VFW Post 8046. He served as a Cub Scout and Boy Scout Leader in Patrick County, and a past President of the Patrick Springs Ruritan Club. He was a member of Stella Christian Church and Fort Trial Christian Church.

Barry is survived by his wife, Rhonda Eanes, of the home; his daughter and her husband, Ryan and Amanda Lewis of Newport, NC; his son, Matthew Eanes of Radford, VA; his sister and her husband, Mike and Karen Mueller of DeLand, FL; and granddaughter, Leila Lewis. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Eanes, Shelby Fileger and Curtis Dudley; and his son, Christopher Eanes.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2021, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at the Fraternal Order of the Eagles 4548, at 113 Palace Lane, Suite N, Williamsburg, VA 23185. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date in Axton, Virginia. Cremation Society of Virginia is handling the arrangements. Online Condolences may be expressed to vacremationsociety.com.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time, Barry was a much loved member of the Ryan Homes Team and we will miss him so much, his generosity to local causes that we took part in was so appreciated, will be missed by all.

Our deepest condolences to Rhonda, Amanda and Matthew. Barry was a great person and will be missed.

Such a tremendous loss for the family and friends who thought so highly of him. Williamsburg Aerie #4548 has lost a guiding light. My fondest memory of him was after the Ladies meetings while Rhonda and I were doing the books and Barry would come join us and we would have great conversation. Solving all the world's problems. Barry was a good man, but he had an evil twinkle in his eye. He could be very cheeky and that was one of his endearing qualities. His ability to spread joy, have a giggle, talk about just anything under the sun. I will truly be missed. RIP Barry your labors are done.

Our hearts are broken. Barry was and will always be a great man, father, brother, husband, and cousin. He will be missed and loved FOREVER!!!
