Betty Ann Hux, age 70, of Norfolk, Virginia went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 1, 2022.  She was born in Newport, RI and lived in Rocky Mount, NC until the passing of her late husband, Jerry C. Hux, Sr.   She was a member of Castalia Baptist Church, in Rocky Mount, NC.

She is survived by her daughter, Denise Setzer (Jim) and her son, Joe Nocon. She is further survived by her sisters, Joann (Robert) Cook of Albany, WI and Mary Coite, of Newport, RI; brothers, George Coite, Jr. and Paul Coite, of Newport RI; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, many friends, and her cat, Precious. Betty was preceded in death by her parents George and Gloria Coite; her brothers, Dennis, Joe and Eddie Coite; and her sisters, Gloria Farias all of Newport, RI, and Linda M. Benway of Albany, WI.

She was a happy, loving, dedicated wife and mother. Betty had a big heart and cared for so many people in her life.  She enjoyed bowling, fishing, dancing and playing bingo.

A celebration of Betty’s life will be held on Monday, May 16, 2022 at the Norfolk Botanical Garden from 1-3pm, Holly Room, 6700 Azalea Garden Road, Norfolk, VA 23518.
