Betty truly was a ray of light. When I mentioned Betty's passing to our son, who had helped with odd jobs around the house in Mountain View, he said, "Aw, she was really sweet and very smart. One time when we were working, she was talking to me and just started speaking in German! I had no idea what she was saying and then she paused and said, 'I just love speaking different languages. Do you know German?'" He laughed and said no, so Betty taught him a few words. My sons will always have fond memories, as will I. Hugs to Cindy and Heidi...Heidi, you did an incredible job loving and caring for your mom during her last years.
