Beverly F. Wood “Mo”

Chesapeake – 9-27-1941 to 4-26-2016

Beverly (Mo) was a wonderful loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all. No one could have loved her family more. She ultimately lost a brave, hard fought, 10 year battle with cancer that weakened her to the point that she just couldn’t fight any longer. Beverly passed just as she wanted – in her own bed, peacefully, painlessly and with family by her side. She closed her eyes at 8:10 AM, went to sleep and never woke up. She took her last breath at 3:00 PM. Her last wishes were that she be cremated with no viewing, visitation or ceremony. She wants her ashes saved until her husband (John H Wood, SR.) passes at which time she wants them mixed so they will be together for eternity.

Her survivors are: John H Wood, SR (Husband), Catherine A Mills (daughter) and husband Don, John H Wood, JR (son) and wife Bonnie, Ernest M Wood (son) and partner, Reyno, John D Wood (stepson) and wife Junko, many grandchildren, a brother, sisters and extended family members.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. An announcement of time and place will be communicated to friends and family. In lieu of flowers, she requested that a donation, in her name, be made to the American Cancer Society.
