Brad Daniel Murray, 57, of Chesapeake, died on September 25, 2024 at home.

Born on December 22, 1966 in Norfolk, Virginia, he was the son of Raymond L. Murray, Jr. and Ruth E. Murray both of Keyser, WV.  He is survived by his daughter Jordan Danielle Bruce (Jackson), his granddaughter Aubrey, his brother Dirk L. Murray (Christy) and his faithful dog, Sandy.

Brad graduated from Great Bridge High School in 1984. He spent much of his childhood at the cherished family cabin in Deep Creek Lake or visiting his grandparents in Keyser, WV. As a young adult, he enjoyed playing soccer, skateboarding, fishing and going to the beach with friends. He became a father at 21 to his one and only child to whom he always shared a very special bond with. Brad loved music, a self proclaimed “Dead Head” he even spent time in his life following The Grateful Dead on their tours. He worked most of his years as a plumber, always willing to lend his time and knowledge to a friend in need.

A memorial service will be held at Brad’s house on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 1:00p.m. The family would love to spend this time celebrating the life of Brad and welcome family and friends to join in sharing special memories and stories.
