Bradley “Brad” Joseph Root of Chesapeake, Virginia was born on October 30, 1996, in Virginia Beach, VA to Jolanda Gagliano and Daniel Root. He unexpectedly passed away on July 3, 2024, leaving our family devastated and shocked by his loss.

Bradley graduated from Grassfield High School and then joined the United States Navy. After his service in the Navy, Bradley worked different jobs, enjoying the variety of life and the thrill of learning new trades. He was a lifelong learner and intelligent man who enjoyed “tinkering” and fixing things. He always felt at home in nature; he loved fishing, camping, and any activity that allowed him to be outdoors. He also included his beloved dog, Ellie, in everything he did. He loved spending time with her, you would always see them together.

Bradley is survived and cherished by his mother Jolanda Gagliano and Brian Grimes; father, Daniel Root and Kimberly Root; sister, Katelynn; brothers Greyson and Brady, and grandmother, Carmen Lewis, as well as many other loving family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

A celebration of life will be a private memorial remembering Bradley in the presence of close family.
