Brenda Francine Harris, Norad born on April 26th 1945 in Norfolk VA has peacefully passed away September 6th 2024, at her home in Newport News VA surrounded by family and her loving husband Danny Lynn Harris. She is survived by her beloved husband, 2 children, by marriage Rebecka Lee Harris and Charles David Harris. She was the loving grandmother to 13 grandchildren and one great grandchild. She is survived by her dearest friends Peggy Muza and Elaine Crawford.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Rose Norad, her father David Norad, her brother Richard Norad and her beloved four-legged, fur daughter Lucky Harris.
She graduated from Hampton High School graduating class of 1964. Brenda was proud to be a Hampton Crabber and told those she encountered proudly.
She was an animal lover and donated to the Animal Society for the prevention of cruelty to animals (ASPCA) for many years. Her love for dogs was well known to all that had the pleasure of knowing her. She often could be seen patting a dogs back and saying booboo on the bowser, bowser on the dukes. She could often be found playing bingo at the United Jewish Community of the Virginia Peninsula.
She also loved children, especially on Halloween as this was her favorite holiday. Everyone who knew her, knew she loved to eat. She loved to get together with friends and family and talk over a good meal. Particularly her BLT sandwiches with 2 spears of Klaussen pickles on the side. She had a passion for making people laugh and had a smile that could light up an entire room.
