Brenda L. Roberson passed peacefully at home surrounded by her family on December 27, 2022. She was born in Norfolk to the late Minnie (Johnson) Corazzini and James Camp, Sr. She was also predeceased by her mother-in-law, Zelda Roberson (William).

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 35 years, W.C. Roberson; children: Robbie Roberson (Jessica) and Kayleen Sanderlin (John); grandchildren: Will, Grady, and Evie; a great-nephew that was like a son to her, Chandler Roberson (Lauren) and their son, Easton; step-father, Henry Corazzini (Shirley); siblings: Jimbo Camp (Jen), Janie Ancheta (Dennis), Tracy McMichen (Rob), Cathy Corazzini, Josie McLendon (Craig), Mia Corazzini, Julie Corazzini, and Joanie Corazzini; and many nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends.

Brenda worked for Chesapeake Public Schools; she retired after 27 years as the cafeteria manager. Brenda enjoyed traveling and spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren who were her greatest joy in life. Her favorite place to be was Lake Gaston where her family spent many weekends making memories they will cherish forever. When she wasn’t at the lake, she spent many nights and weekends at local sporting events supporting her family and her love of sports.

A celebration of Brenda’s life will be held at a later date.

I have been fortunate to kniw the Robinson family since my childhood days.they lived behind me on Johnstown rd..WC worked for our paint shop that his brother Cecil and my husband started...I knew him when Brenda and WC started dating ivwas fortunate enough to cater their wedding. and also honored to coach their daughter Kaylee. my daughter worked at the school student teaching where Brenda worked. our family's have always be connected in different ways.but the honor to have called Brenda my friend will forever be carried in my heart..my prayers gor peace and comfort to you allx🙏❤️

Brenda was like no other! She never met a stranger! Everyone was important to her and she truly meant it when she asked “how are you doing!” She took time to make sure she said hello and caught up with you when you saw her at family functions. She was kind hearted! Loved her grand babies like no other! She made the best regardless of how she was feeling! My condolences to WC for losing his soul mate too soon, To Robbie and Kayleen for losing their mother at a young age! For Will who will only know her love through her memories, for Evie and Grady who have lost their Mimi at such a young age! And for the entire family for their loss! May there be some kind of comfort in her memory, peace knowing she is no longer suffering and may you be surrounded with the love of family today, tomorrow and always know that you are never alone! Brenda was an amazing woman. She always made you feel welcome. She was patient, kind, funny and loving. Her love for her family was so strong. I admired her. Brenda started off as my boss, but over the years she became a dear friend and then family. She will be missed more than I can express. But I know she will be watching over her family and friends, especially her grand babies. My prayers and thoughts are with you all during this time.

I never met Brenda, but her daughter was my son's first grade teacher. I'm praying for her family.
