Ms. Caridad Grewe, age 82, passed on January 11^th, 2020 in Newport News, VA at 1:15am at Riverside Regional Medical Center, a caring and compassionate center that provided comfort and dignity to her in her final hours. She was a Filipino immigrant born in Marikina, Rizal Philippines on August 1^st, 1937.  She was one of thirteen children.

She spent her early years working hard to help support her large family and developed a passion for cooking.  She later married and would come to United States in 1960.  She had five children with her first marriage, Debra, Edward, Robert, James, and Carla. She eventually started her own restaurant in Fort Myers, FL called Corina’s, a name she was affectionately called by, providing Filipino-American cuisine to the local community for almost 20 years. Her greatest joy was cooking for her loved ones and bringing them together with her delicious meals.

She is survived by her children, 7 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.
