WILLIAMSBURG – Carol Margetta Bolla, 73, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2016 at her home in Williamsburg, VA. She was born on July 9, 1942 in Erie, PA. After graduating from Villa Maria Academy high school, Carol worked at Hammermill Paper Company in Erie as an administrative assistant in the Sales Department. Later, from 1986 -2002, she worked at Edinboro University and retired as the Coordinator of Special Events in the Office of the President. While her career was important to her, Carol’s top priority was always her family and the raising of her children. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many. Upon retirement, Carol and her husband Ray moved to Williamsburg, VA where she enjoyed reading, working outdoors, spending time with her children and grandchildren, and volunteering at St. Olaf Catholic Church as a lector. Carol was predeceased by her parents, Albert and Marian Margetta, her brother Charles, and her infant brother Albert Jr. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Raymond Bolla; a daughter Melissa Clinton and her husband William of Vienna, VA; a son Timothy Bolla and his wife Joni of Pearland, TX; six grandchildren: Caroline and Sean Clinton, Samantha and Brooklyn Bolla, and Caden and Cole Kelly. She is also survived by sisters-in-law Bernadine (Theodore) Urban and Patricia (Norbert) Kaczmarek of Erie, Laura Plum of Sarasota FL, and five nieces and nephews. A Mass of Resurrection will be held at St. Olaf Catholic Church in Williamsburg, VA at a date and time to be determined. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Olaf Catholic Church Building Fund.
