Norfolk – Carolyn E. Kimbro, 75, passed away at Sentara Hospice House on September 16, 2017 from complications of dementia. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Willis Kimbro, and son, Jacob Kimbro. She is survived by her two other children, Charlotte Kimbro and John Kimbro.
Many knew Carolyn during her 28 years of service with the Norfolk Public School system. She assisted many teachers, students, and administrators first as a secretary in the disciplinary office at Lake Taylor High School and then at Norview High School retiring in 2008.
Carolyn will be remembered for her special sense of humor and everyday life stories of living in Ocean View. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
We would like to express our sincerest gratitude for the people of Sentara Hospice House for their compassion and caring spirit.
A private gathering for the spreading of Carolyn’s ashes on the beach that she loved so much will be held at a future time.
