Cecil C. Whitehead Sr., 81, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2022 with his son, Cecil Jr. “Butch” and his wife Melonie, at his side. Cecil was a lifelong resident of Virginia Beach. Cecil was a loving father, a strong, independent and caring person who loved life and thought more of others than he did himself. He was a master craftsman in his trade as a mason where he inspired others and he was well respected among his peers. He retired from Snow Jr & King Inc in 2002.

Cecil was predeceased by his parents, Tilton Wilson and Marie Bailey Whitehead of Virginia Beach. In addition to Butch, he leaves behind his sister, Juanita Leonard, who helped care and provide for him in his latter years; daughter, Glenda “Sissy” Conforti of Tucson, AZ and son Robert “Robbie” Whitehead of Virginia Beach along with granddaughters, nieces, nephews and extended family.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 12, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the home of Butch and Melonie Whitehead, 2152 Margaret Drive, Virginia Beach, VA 23456.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be offered to Shriners Hospitals for Children or the Virginia Beach SPCA.
