Cecil William Kelly Boyce, Jr., affectionately known to many as “Wolf,” passed away on January 5, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on December 14, 1954, at DePaul Hospital, his life was one marked by dedication, passion, and creativity.
For over 30 years, Cecil served as a carrier in the civil service, a testament to his commitment and work ethic. His love for music was evident to all who knew him, as he had a deep appreciation for rock music. He also found joy in art and expressed his creativity through woodworking, crafting pieces that reflected his artistic spirit.
Cecil shared much of his journey with his beloved wife, Deborah Lynn Boyce, who preceded him in death in 2021. Together, they built a family and a life filled with love and cherished memories. He leaves behind his daughter, Stephanie Boyce, and his devoted sisters, Cora Kanary and Linda Malone, who will continue to honor his legacy.
A celebration of Cecil’s life will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Family Choice Funerals and Cremations, located at 5401 Indian River Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23464. Family and friends are invited to gather from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. to pay their respects and share stories of a life well-lived.
Cecil “Wolf” Boyce will be remembered for his warmth, his passions, and the indelible mark he left on all who were fortunate to know him. May he rest in peace.
