Virginia Beach- Charles Richard Luchsinger, Jr, aged 70, passed away on December 26, 2017.  He was preceded in death by his parents Charles (Chick) and Gwen Luchsinger. He is survived by his wife, Donna; children Cristopher and Ashley; siblings Ann, Frank, and Jill; and grandchildren Wyatt and Avery.

Charlie served his country in the US Army with a tour in Vietnam, where he was trained in radio and electronics. This became a lifelong civilian career in the telephone and computer industries.

He was an avid reader of classic literature. His passions included running marathons, bird-watching, songwriting, playing bass and guitar. He was loved by family and friends for his gentle demeanor, wry sense of humor, and philanthropy.

A service to honor Charlie will be held at New Albany Methodist Church in Central Ohio. He will be laid to rest in a military cemetery with honors. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the charity or church of your choice.
