Charlotte Murphy Dolan

Virginia Beach- Charlotte Murphy Dolan, 86, passed away March 30, 2018. Born July 23, 1931 to the late John E. & Dorothy C. (Murphy) Dolan in Wilmington, Delaware.

She is survived by her children, Eugene Semar, Jr., Edward Semar, Charlotte August, Kathy Semar, and Eileen Hanson; seven grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Charlotte retired from the Virginia Beach City Clerk’s Office August 1, 2001.She was inducted into the City of Virginia Beach Employee Hall of Fame in 1999. She was also a member of the Virginia Municipal Clerk’s Association.

A memorial service will be held Thursday April 5, 2018 at 6:00pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5792 Greenwich Rd, Va Beach, VA 23462. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Va Beach SPCA, Samaritan House, or a favorite charity.

Cremation Society of Virginia is handling the arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at vacremationsociety.com.
