Cherie is survived by husband, Chris Stowe, son, Caleb Stowe (Katie), daughter, Carlyn Stowe (Sydney), parents, Dale and Anne Matthews, brothers, Jason Matthews (Zoe), Justin Matthews (Amanda) and sister, Kristin Matthews and several nieces and nephews.
Cherie was employed at NAVFAC MIDLANT Utilities department as a Billing Analysis for over 30 years.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society P.O. Box 22478 Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
The Cremation Society of Virginia is handling the arrangements and on line condolences may be expressed to vacremationsociety.com.
A memorial service celebrating Cherie’s life will be held at a future date.
