Chester F. Mosher, Jr., of Newport, RI, passed away in Virginia Beach, VA on Tuesday, December 24, 2024 after relocating there to be with his children and grandchildren.
Chet was born to Muriel and Chester Mosher, Sr. on July 19, 1947. He married his high school sweetheart, Cynthia Mosher, and enjoyed 54 years of love, travel, and laughter. While he served in the Air Force, their daughter, Janice, was born in Germany in 1968. After their return to Newport following Chet’s tour of service, they welcomed their son, Kevin, in 1973.

He enjoyed exploring the seas accompanied by his wife twice a year to their favorite location, Bermuda. He also enjoyed cooking, taking over the role after Cynthia’s passing, and playing Playstation, specifically his nightly Call of Duty games with his son-in-law and online friends. He was a lifelong New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox fan. He loved attending games when he could, and would watch football every Sunday with his family and furry friends.
He was reunited in heaven with his beloved wife, Cynthia, and his parents, Muriel and Chester Mosher, Sr.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his daughter, Janice Fiscus (Brian); son, Kevin Mosher (Meghan); grandchildren, Jacob Fiscus and Lindsey Fiscus; great-grandson, Greyson Fiscus; sister, Patty Pimentel (Tony); a niece and a nephew; his adored fur babies, Holly and Nugget; and many extended relatives and friends.
