Chris was a native of Norfolk’s “Ocean View”. She was preceded in death by her mother Joan Spivey, father Joseph Sawyers Sr., sister Yolanda Sawyers, brothers Leslie Sawyers, Joseph Sawyers Jr. and Jonathan Sawyers. Chris is survived by her son Doug Wilson and his wife Tyler and their children Kadyn, Preston and Madison, her partner Greg, brother Mark Sawyers and his wife Stacie, sister Lynn Sorey and her husband Kevin, sister Lisa Holland, step mother Thelma Drake, her nieces and nephews, and many family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at Advent Episcopal Church 9629 Norfolk Ave. Norfolk, Va. 23503 on January 20th 2018 from 2-4pm.
