Chesapeake ~ Claudia G. McKenna passed away Monday, December 2, 2019. She is the daughter of the late John Henry Prince and Charlotte Baughman Prince. Claudia grew up in Pittsburgh where she met and married her husband and together they moved to the area in 1976 and soon built their house and moved to Chesapeake. She worked for a local doctor for 20 years and then finished up her working career in real estate.
Claudia was a loving and kind person with an energetic and magnetic personality that drew people to her. She was very artistic as evidenced by her beautiful stained glass creations. She loved to cook and bake and baked some very delicious desserts! She was an ardent supporter of the environment and supported the Chesapeake Bay Foundation. She also was a strong advocate for the LGBTQ community and supported their cause for equality.
Claudia is survived by her loving husband, Jim, and their son Kyle; her sisters Diane Prince, Linda Hutchinson and her husband John, and her brother John Curtis Prince; niece Hope Harris, her husband Dale and their daughter Tessa, and nephew Christien Murawski and his son Kiernan. She is also survived by her special companion, her dog, Sammy
Claudia will always be missed by her family and friends. We love you, Claudia.
