Portsmouth-
Colleen Kay Harris, 62, passed away on October 21, 2015. She was born in Norfolk to Joseph and Donna Tuttle. Her sister, Jackie Tuttle, preceded her in death. Colleen was a homemaker. Challenged throughout her life by ill health, she was an avid birder, gardener, and chef. She was talented in vocal music and mathematics, and completed two years of study at Beloit College. She studied professional flower arranging, and she rooted for the Baltimore Orioles and Chicago Bears. Colleen was very knowledgeable about Hollywood. She was a winner in the Naro Cinema’s Predict the Oscar contest. She also had a particular interest in Japanese culture, and especially in anime. Left to cherish Colleen’s memory of 62 years are her husband and companion of 39 years, Richard John Harris, sister Patrice T. Simmons, brother Joseph W. Tuttle, sister Liane M. Tuttle, and niece Jessica H. McGrath. A commemoration will be held after the New Year. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Planned Parenthood. Colleen’s family is handling the arrangements.
