I am sorry to learn of your loss this morning, Merryana. It has been years since we were together at PG School. But I often recall the group we were then. It is hard having had a partner for so many years to have to go on with out one! We were fortunate to have had their love and company for so long! With the support of your loving family and wonderful memories your way will be easier. Thinking of you, Mary Ann Lancaster

Merryana, Bill and I were deeply saddened to hear of Curt's death. He was a fine man, a true "officer and a gentleman." Curt will be fondly remembered by his Baycliff neighbors as a caring and civic minded person who generously shared his time, wisdom and energy with others. Our hearts go out to you, Bill & Christine Westendorf
Dan Clifford left a message on October 3, 2013:
Dear Mrs. Karvala & family, My name is Dan Clifford, I served with Curtis on the USS Shreveport. I found him to be a very stren man and fair to everyone on board. I am proud to have known him and I feel like a better person for knowing him. We spent some time together and also some fishing. He was happiest when he was talking about you and the family, and of course fishing, he really loved the time we spend fishing. I do think he was also pround of me, for I had taken one of his troubled cases and turned him around. that man today is a Rabbi in Rhode Island. I think that Curtis would be proud of him now. I am sorry that I didn't keep in touch. For I have lost a friend and can no longer tell him how important his was in my life. Thank you for your time, my deepest late condolences. Dan C.
